Welcome to the Rushville FFA Chapter official website
National FFA Week 2014 In just a few short weeks the best time of the year for FFA members will be starting! This is known as National FFA Week, the third week in February where thousands of FFA members from across the nation advocate for agriculture and FFA. It is a time to celebrate and have fun as well as hosting appreciation dinners for teachers and service projects for the community. This year the Rushville FFA has a full week of events planned for the whole school. A list of activities will be posted soon!
Career Development Events A new year has begun, and new CDEs are beginning to practice. Livestock Judging is the next CDE Rushville participates in, and the practices for these teams will begin in March. Coming up on March 7th, although it's not considered a CDE, is District IX Contest. District contest consists of leadership activities where the Rushville FFA competes against 13 other chapters within our district. With competitions varying from talent and exhibit to public speaking and demonstrations, if you are interested in attending or partcipating in District IX Contest see Mr. Orme or Miss Wicker.
fdCheck it out: The Rushville Agriculture Department is excited to have Miss Abby Coy as a student teacher this Spring. Abby is a senior at Purdue University majoring in agriculture education, and for part of her schooling, she will be teaching various classes in the ag department alongside Mr. Orme and Miss Wicker.
